Overview

Generates particle animation based on 2 component or 3 component vector data.

Description

Generates particle animation based on 2 component or 3 component vector data. The shape of the particle is a diamond shape (8 surfaces).

Parameters

Visible
switches on and off the display of particles.

Reset
resets all parameters.

Save MicroAVS Visualized Geometry
saves data in an MVG file.

Help
displays help.

downsize level
Adjusts the precision of the data based on sampling. When the value is 1, the data is with its original precision and the precision reduces as this value is increased.

Select Data
Selects the data to be distributed in the X, Y (Z) directions. Data components are in the X, Y and Z directions starting from the top in order. Further, the number of components should be at least two or three.

Control Buttons

Reset - resets the system to the initial state of time.

Stop - stops particle advection.

Run - plays back the advection once.

Cycle - plays back cyclically. When the end point is reached, the system goes back to the starting point and this is done repeatedly.

color
glyphs are colored based on the vector values.

glyph scale
sets the size of the glyph.

start time
Defines the start time at which particle advection begins along the stream lines.

end time
Defines the time at which particle advection ends.

step
Defines integral time (time step).

N-segments
Defines the number of time steps within a grid.

Max-segments
Defines the total number of time steps.

order
Defines the order of integration.

Display Trace
Drawing tailed line.
